INA MAZIVA is the first company in Croatia to place a whole range of products on the market in soft packaging

In the last year, which was full of challenges and great expectations, we made a big step forward and placed products on the market in completely new packaging.

 


We are the first company on the Croatian market to start the production of products in soft packaging, and in addition to filling our own products in soft packaging, we also offer the filling service to customers who want to place their own brand on the market.

Replacing standard packaging for water-based products reduces the share of plastic by as much as 70%, or 4.5 times compared to standard packaging. The new packaging, which is in line with the latest world practices when it comes to environmentally friendly packaging, comes with a full range of products - from the well-known windshield washer fluid INA Autoglass, INA Distilled Water and AdBlue system cleaner. These improved packages are also more practical because the empty part can be rolled up and thus save space.

The idea itself developed at the FACHPACK fair, where colleagues spotted an interesting machine that can fill soft packaging. Upon their return, they began to work intensively on researching the possibilities for the placement, production and purchase of adequate soft packaging and, finally, the purchase of a machine that can fill this type of packaging according to the required capacity. Despite the very dynamic and demanding environment caused by the COVID 19 pandemic, in less than a year, with great effort and commitment, they managed to find appropriate soft packaging, design, contract with a supplier from China and in parallel through the investment project for charging.

During April 2021, the production and filling of a new product line was successfully started. The new semi-automatic line meant a big step forward for INA MAZIVA in the domestic and foreign markets, and in a very short time all the necessary resources were provided to start the line, start filling and packing new packages.

The product is packed in a cardboard box by hand, so it can be said that each soft package "handmade" is specially packaged for our customer. The advantages are great, e.g. the packaging stock no longer takes up much of the storage space, as several hundred soft packs are housed in just one cardboard box. Dropping out of soft packaging was a challenge for customers in the market, so we also met here and provided classes for stalling for certain fillings.

Sales of soft packaging started in the second quarter of 2021. Sales results are excellent, and reactions from the field are positive, and inquiries are already arriving related to the service activity of filling, ie. filling packaging to customers who will sell these products under their own brand. We do not plan to stop expanding our offer of products and packaging, so the product range of soft packaging will be expanded for some additional products, and in the second quarter of this year it is planned to start filling in 1 liter packaging.
